Becoming Catholic (RCIA)

We welcome you and we are here to help and answer all the questions that might result from the call that God is inviting you to follow.
Becoming a Catholic can be one of life’s deepest and most joyful experiences. 

Becoming Catholic is a journey - a journey one makes together with the Catholic community in search of God. Within the Holy Cross AFC all people desiring to become Catholic meet as part of the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) process of preparation.  This includes an in-depth study of our Catholic faith. 

• These teaching sessions are open to all who are curious about Catholicism or are currently Catholic but want a better understanding of the faith. There is no obligation to enter into the Church.
• These sessions are for people who would like to be baptized, who have been previously baptized in another Christian faith or who were baptized Catholic but not raised in the faith.

A person is said to be fully initiated in the Catholic Church when s/he has received the three sacraments of Christian initiation: Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.
