  Praise be to God! You're interested in stepping out and sharing your love of Christ and His Church! I'm grateful for your 'yes' to thinking more about this opportunity. My prayer is that many people will feel this call and desire to be a part of the 2nd Discipleship Team! The questions below will help me to discern who the Lord is asking to be a part of this particular team. Please take some time to prayerfully answer the questions below.
  
  For as in one body we have many parts, and all the parts do not have the same function, so we though many, are one body in Christ and individually parts of one another.
  Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us exercise them:
  if prophecy, in proportion to the faith; if ministry, in ministering; if one is a teacher, in teaching; if one exhorts, in exhortation; if one contributes, in generosity; if one is over others, with diligence; if one does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness. Romans 12:4-8

  The timeline for this Fall 2023 Discipleship Team will be as follows:
  October 2023: The Month of Formation
  
  -We'll ask that you commit to daily formation by reading and praying with the daily Mass readings as well as listening and praying with Fr. Timothy Gallagher's 28 Day Spiritual Exercises retreat (apx 20 minutes/day) which is found on the Hallow app. The HCAFC will pay for a Hallow subscription if you don't have one!
  
  -We'll plan to meet for team formation and discussion weekly throughout the month of October on Tuesday evenings.
  
  -Large group Discipleship Training - Saturday, November 4th (This is not required, but highly encouraged for all team members.) It will be a special training combined with our first Discipleship Team and our next year's mission speaker, Deacon Mark Krejci from the Crookston diocese will be the leader.
  
  -We will continue to gather in November and December, but bi-weekly instead of weekly. With follow up meetings as needed into the new year.

  One requirement of our Holy Cross AFC Discipleship Team members is to be faithfully, joyfully living out our Catholic faith. Will you share a little with me about your Catholic faith journey and how you find the Lord's joy and peace as you live it out? REQUIRED Please fill out this field.
  
  As someone on the Discipleship Team you would be partnering with me, our priests and our Church to evangelize, to go out to all the nations to proclaim the goodness of God. One goal of these teams is to look at evangelization with a new lens. In Evangeli Gaudium, Pope Francis says, “The primary reason for evangelization is the love of Jesus which we have received, the experience of salvation which urges us to even greater love of Him.” He then challenged all the baptized to “move beyond a dull or mechanical way of living our faith, and instead open the doors of our hearts, our lives, our parishes, our movements or associations, going out in search of others so as to bring them the light and the joy of our faith in Christ.”
